pH Correction

Water quality is dependent on maintaining stable pH levels.

Carbon Dioxide is a naturally occurring gas that is present in the air we breathe and is used by many plants to make their food.

CO2 is used by many municipal water treatment plants for lowering pH.

Interestingly, the set point of pH is based on the human tear pH reading of 7.4, (1).  pH levels are generally thought to be kept between 7.2-7.8. and more often than not, it is improper pH and not the sanitiser that is responsible for irritating bathers skin and eyes.
